Nasco Aircraft Brake, Inc. (Nasco) has been acquired by Aircraft Braking Systems Corporation (ABSC), a division of K & F Industries (a New York Stock Exchange Company, symbol KFI), effective April 1, 2006.


Nasco Names Terry Jones Director of Business Development

(Gardena, CA) Nasco Aircraft Brake, Inc. has named Terence F. Jones as its director of business development. Prior to his appointment, Jones served in engineering and technical sales management positions with both Honeywell and Dunlop.


Nasco Awarded FAA Approval for Boeing 737 Aircraft Brakes

Nasco Aircraft Brake, Inc. of Gardena Calif. has been awarded a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its replacement brake components for Boeing 737 aircraft equipped with Honeywell (Bendix) brakes.


Nasco Expands Its Product Line

To complement its commercial line of FAA-approved brake products for Boeing’s B727 and B747 aircraft, Nasco Aircraft Brake has acquired the brake parts business for the Saab-Fairchild SF340A and SF340B and the Fokker F28, F70 and F100 commercial aircraft from SGL Carbon Composites, Inc. (formerly Hitco Technologies).


New Employees

Nasco is pleased to announce the following recent additions to its staff: Joseph M. Patko, Director, Business Development brings with him nearly 10 years of valuable aircraft wheel and brake engineering and marketing experience. He began his career at Bendix Wheels and Brakes Division (now Honeywell) in South Bend, Indiana USA, as a Research and Development Engineer, responsible for component and friction material development.


Nasco Opens Sales Office

Nasco Aircraft Brake has strengthened its sales and marketing services to better serve its customers by opening a new office in South Bend, Indiana USA.


Northwest Airlines B747 In-Service Test Completed

Northwest Airlines has recently completed an 18-month extensive in-service evaluation of Nasco replacement steel brake rotors for their fleet of 31 Boeing 747 Classic aircraft. The test consisted of Nasco rotors being placed directly into revenue service for direct comparison with Honeywell rotors.


Nasco Joins MARPA

Nasco is proud to announce their involvement in MARPA (Manufacturers Approved Replacement Parts Association) as a newly appointed member. MARPA promotes free enterprise in the aviation parts industry by providing real competition in the production of high quality, safe replacement parts.


Nasco Acquires Hitco Commercial Aircraft Brake Product Line

Carbon Brakes Approved

Nasco Aircraft Brake has obtained the STC and has been granted PMA approval by the FAA for its replacement carbon heat packs for the Fokker 70/100, and the Saab 340A/B. The Nasco carbon heat packs were authorized for use by utilizing the identical carbon material and manufacturing process originally certified on the respective aircraft by both Fokker and Saab.
